So many wonderful things have taken place at Montreat Conference Center over the course of the past year! As we prepare to embrace 2024, we wanted to take a moment to look back at some our favorite events and achievements of 2023.

Kate Bowler Gives Keynote Address During the Women's Connection conference in August, New York Times best-selling author Kate Bowler spoke to over 850 women in Anderson Auditorium.

The Manna Retreat Gets its Start In January, we hosted the first in a new series of gatherings specifically for young adults called The Manna Retreat. 65 people between the ages of 22-32 were in attendance. Check out plans for this event to return in 2024 here.

Summer Staff Make an Impact With many of our summer programs returning to pre-pandemic levels of involvement, 115 Summer Staff played a major role in welcoming guests and fostering transformative spiritual experiences. Applications for 2024 Summer Staff are now open.

Co-Moderator of the 225th General Assembly Preaches at Montreat Youth Conference The Rev. Ruth Faith Santana-Grace shared the important message of joy with high school students from across the country during weeks 3 and 4 of Montreat Youth Conference. Read a recap of her experience here.

High School Youth Find Enrichment Thanks to Generous Donors Thanks to the power of collective giving, over $50,000 in scholarships were distributed to participants of Montreat Youth Conference in 2023. Help make future experiences possible for youth by making a gift online.

The Huckleberry has a Bustling Summer Post-Renovation As a Montreat staple that many guests were glad to see reopened, The Huckleberry sold a whopping 13,953 scoops of ice cream between June 1st and August 13th.

More to Come in 2024 The most important part of Montreat's year was your involvement and presence! We are so grateful for each group, conferee, volunteer, cottager, and visitor who passed through the Gate in 2023. We look forward to your continued involvement with our ministry in 2024!
