December in Montreat

News Corner

The Manna Retreat is coming back this January! During this weekend getaway for young adults (roughly age 22-35), participants will form new friendships and nurture their faith through a variety of worship and small group opportunities. If your congregation has a young adult ministry, we hope you'll invite them to join us! Register today.

Give the gift of creativity this holiday season! Reserve a spot for a friend or loved one during Fall Craft Week and allow them to learn a new skill. Available class options include: stained glass, watercolor painting, sewing, colored pencil drawing, photography, creative writing, jewelry metalsmithing, needle felting, and wood working. Find out more on our website.

Last month we welcomed the Mountain Retreat Association Board of Directors for their fall 2023 meeting. If you are interested in learning more about their visit, a summary of the meeting is now available on our website.

Have you heard about Montreat Youth Conference's theme for 2024? During "Planting Peace," we will focus on growing together as a community, practicing unconditional love, and glorifying God in all that we do. See what you need to do to register a group by clicking here.

Discovering Renewal, our spring retreat which focuses on everyday spiritual practices, will offer two new track options in 2024! Rev. Thomas Wesley Moore, IV and Dora Rowe will lead a tabletop gaming track. Additionally, a Sabbath track, which does not include any programmed activities during the day, has also been added. Find out about all available track options here.

If you are planning to attend College Conference @ Montreat and haven't reserved your spot yet, we have good news! We've extended our early registration discount through Friday, December 8. Sign up today to get the best rate possible.

Conference registration for 2024's Worship & Music Conference officially opened yesterday! This intergenerational conference welcomes all to explore engaging worship experiences through a variety of music ensembles and workshops. Please note that conference registration is completed through the Presbyterian Association of Musicians website and housing reservations are made on Montreat's website.

Montreat Patrons Make a Difference!

With the season of gratitude upon us, and as we consider our commitments to charitable priorities for this year, thank you for your ongoing support of Montreat Conference Center. Your support makes our ministry possible throughout the year, turning the good programming, recreation, and hospitality we provide into outstanding programming, recreation, and hospitality.

In that spirit, we invite you to continue your support with a gift to the Montreat Fund before December 30. Your Montreat fund gift touches everyone who ventures to this special place, alighting anew the work that God is doing here and has done for generations. Your support will help all those who seek to encounter God in Montreat and ignite new possibilities in the seasons ahead.
