Advent and Christmas will soon be upon us, and many congregations and faith communities will continue their worship online. Even the churches that are gathering in person will no doubt practice social distancing and scale back some of the familiar trappings like choirs singing carols,  Christmas pageants and even festive decorations. We can’t help but feel sad that we’ll miss out on this most holy and spiritual time of the year. But instead of just resigning ourselves to a watered-down Advent and Christmas, why not take some tips from this issue of Presbyterians Today and create a sacred space at home for family prayer, worship and quiet meditation during this holy season?
