A worship survey was sent out yesterday. If you have not responded yet, please respond and let us know if you are livestreaming or sharing anything on social media. If you are not doing these things, please let us know that as well. We appreciate your time in this. Thank you to those who have already responded. It’s been wonderful to see how creative folks are adapting in these times to get the word of God out!
THIS SATURDAY –“LIVESTREAMING WORKSHOP
The Training and Development Committee is sponsoring an in person educational event on Saturday September 19th from 10 - noon at Stone Presbyterian Church in Elk Grove WV. The name of the event is:
“Everything you always wanted to know about livestreaming your service but were afraid to ask!”
Presenters will be George Crawford, Jason Elliot and Robert Nagy. It would help if we had an idea of how many people will be attending so please call or email the Presbytery office or call Stone Church (304) 242-4610. We hope to see you on the 19th!
PASTORAL CARE COMMITTEE
Attention to all Pastors. As many of you know, the Presbytery is currently using Zoom for Presbytery meetings, and committee meetings. This media is also available to you to have contact with you mentors, your peers, and your friends. Your Pastor Care Team is concerned that you are not, during this unprecedented time, getting the contact you need with each other. If you have an interest in getting together with some of your friends, or getting to know some of your peers, to the new kids on the block, please contact Cindy James, she and Christine will make arrangements to put some of you together. Cindy’s email: alcindaj@netzero.net phone: 330-532-5747
ZOOM
Have you zoomed yet? Wondering how to zoom? There are several good handouts on the Presbyterian Older Adults Ministry Page on how to start and to host a meeting. You need an email or you can dial into a meeting. Clubs, Families and Organizations are using this platform to continue to connect, learn and share during this pandemic. https://poamn.org/zoom-resources/ Control+Right Click
Are you wanting to schedule a meeting on zoom? I need when and how long you are going to meet. I will sign up for a time spot half an hour before hand so people can join in before the meeting. I need a designated leader who will host the digital meeting. This just means the invitation comes from you and you will start the meeting.
RESOURCE CENTER
We are going to downsize our video collection. If you need children’s videos please stop by. We are making room for some newer donated books. We recently had a Presbytery in Texas send us a box of donated books.
Please returns books and resources checked out in a timely manner. I have had two people in the past month looking for resources that have not been returned. Please help out your fellow partners in ministry!
OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The office is open 9-3 Monday-Friday. The financial staff is here on Tuesdays. Please pick up your church calendars if you ordered them. There are a few extra to purchase if interested for $10.50.
If you are looking for a form on the website, please look under items of interest on the website. The link marked Forms is broken and I have had to move forms to a different section. If you don’t find what you are looking for please call/email the office. We are working on solving the website issues. Thanks for your patience.
Please share what you are doing to grow the Kingdom please send us a blurb! Let us know how you are providing light in your community and within your church!
