The Season of Creation is a time to renew our commitment to caring for our planet. The 2025 theme is “Peace with Creation,” and you can get involved through several key events.

Important dates and events:

  • September 1: The season begins with the online World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation at 9:00 a.m. ET.
  • September 10: Attend the Practicing Peace with Creation webinar at 6:00 p.m. ET, hosted by the For the Love of Creation coalition.
  • September 17: Help Turn Debt into Hope by attending this Jubilee online event and promoting the online petition. (Note: the original Sept. 5 event has been postponed, further details about the Sept. 17 event will be posted here.)
  • September 20: Mobilize for the National Day of Action–Draw the Line to call for climate justice (and more) from the Canadian government. So far more than 25 communities are holding events, and more are showing up on the map each day. This is a broad cross-sector, multi-issue movement.
  • October 23: Learn from Indigenous leaders at the Voices of the Land webinar at 7:00 p.m. ET, which will focus on Indigenous spiritualities and land rights.

Mission and Service: Education Shaped by Compassion

[Image credit:  Joint Christian Committee for Social Service]

For many children, a new school year means sharpening pencils and packing backpacks. But for others, education is a foundation for hope, dignity, and lasting change. Mission and Service global partners understand this, and they work directly within their communities to provide culturally relevant and spiritually meaningful educational opportunities. Your support helps create spaces where children in refugee camps find safety, young adults explore their faith, and communities reclaim ancestral knowledge—all acts of restoration and resilience made possible by your generosity.
