Come Together as Easter People for Creation with Global Partners

As part of Together for the Love of Creation Earth Week, you're invited to an insightful webinar featuring the Rev. Phyllis Byrd (OAIC), Patricia Mari T. Mungcal (NCCP), and the Rev. Dr. Jessica Hetherington (The United Church of Canada) on Wednesday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time. These ecumenical leaders will share their experiences and perspectives on climate realities in their communities (Kenya, the Philippines, and Canada), the root causes of the climate crisis and the transformative action of love that faith inspires.

Why Attend?

  • Learn from Partners: Gain insights from leading climate justice advocates and environmental experts who will share their knowledge and experiences.
  • Climate Action: Discover tangible actions you can implement in your congregation to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Community Connection: Connect with like-minded individuals and congregations committed to making a positive impact on our planet.

100 Words of Hope: Healing through Mourning

Without hope for the coming world after this world,
how we could endure this world!

Without love in this world before the next world,
how we could transform this world!

Without faith beyond this world,
how we could walk in the darkness moving forward to the world inside of us!

All healings come from good mournings as all the nights will be filled with peace.

Sung Ran Kim, Alpha Korean United Church, Toronto, ON

100 Words of Hope reflections are posted weekly on the United Church's Round the Table blog. Feeling inspired? Submit your own 100-word reflection, poem, or prayer that conveys hope and faith in these times using the form.
