This morning we began accepting reservations for our annual Kirkin' O' the Tartan luncheon in Assembly Inn. Montreat Middle School Conference July 16-20, 2025 Montreat Middle School Conference welcomes all students who have completed fifth through eighth grade for five days of worship, keynote, small group sessions, and recreation events at Maryville College in Maryville, TN. This year, they will dive into the theme “Wonder Full” to explore how God calls us to experience wonder and how we can live in response to that call. Learn More

Updates from The President

Each month, Richard DuBose, president of Montreat Conference Center, shares a written update pertaining to various happenings in the Montreat valley. In his most recent update, Richard detailed hurricane recovery efforts, the demolition of Chestnut Lodge, Galax Lodge, and Lord Apartments, our recent Board of Directors meeting, and the conference center's new strategic plan. An excerpt is included below. Please click "read more" for the full article. "Lake Susan is a lake again. Flat Creek began filling the restored basin on Friday, March 7, following the completion of repairs to the stone wall below the Belk Center at Left Bank. As the lake level rose slowly, crews used the temporary shutdown of Flat Creek to restore rock to the base of the dam, an important erosion control measure for the health of both dam and creek. Meanwhile, a team of disaster relief landscape specialists regraded vehicular and pedestrian access, restored parking areas, installed sod and gravel pathways, and built a series of retaining walls along Assembly Drive that now extend to the northeastern end of the parking area beyond the Currie Craft Center. Added to the now crystal-clear water, the whole scene suddenly looks as beautiful as it has in my lifetime..."
