AMEC Publishing House Receives $25,100 Grant from Texas Methodist Foundation for "Virtual Grace" Program

Program Aims to Support Seniors through a Unique Online Platform   Juvirtualy 25, 2023 – AMEC Publishing House is excited to announce that it has been awarded a generous grant of $25,100 from the Texas Methodist Foundation (TMF). This grant will be utilized for the revolutionary "Virtual Grace" program, an initiative specifically designed to serve senior members, aged 50-100, and is set to launch on August 1, 2023. The Virtual Grace program, which can be accessed at www.virtualgrace.church, aims to mitigate the impacts of isolation, loneliness, and the grief of loss that our senior community members have been confronting, particularly due to the pandemic's enduring effects. Using modern technology to bridge physical isolation, Virtual Grace provides a vibrant online platform for spiritual development. This innovative initiative includes prayer, scripture study, hymn singing, virtual fellowship, and an artistic component, intending to enrich the spiritual lives of our senior community. The program empowers our senior members, offering opportunities for fellowship, prayer, and holistic spiritual growth within a supportive online community. TMF's grant underscores their faith in our mission to provide spiritual healing and community to those isolated and reflects their commitment to alleviate the hardships of our senior community members. "We are excited to support new and important programs, including churches spreading God's love through social impact and nonprofits delivering services in innovative ways. All recipients utilize Asset-Based Community Development, deepening their connections in the communities they serve.
