Located just around the corner from the Graybeard Trailhead, this beloved campground offers a welcoming and peaceful setting for visitors of all ages. We offer 29 sites which are available from May through October and are best suited for tents or small pop-up campers. If you provide us with a rooming list at least 30 days prior to your event, attendees can independently check in and pick up their room keys at the Assembly Inn front desk. By providing this service, we hope to ease your transition and help you get your event off to a great start! Staying at the Winsborough Located directly across the lake from Assembly Inn, the Winsborough is a beautiful stone lodge which can accommodate groups of 20-50 people. Guest rooms include a mix of twin beds, bunk beds, and double beds with shared connecting baths. Plan a Refreshment Break If you would like to provide your guests with water, coffee, or a light snack while they are here, just let us know! As we near the end of the year, we are taking some time in each of our newsletters to talk about and demonstrate how Montreat Conference Center’s ministry is supported by gifts from individuals, families, churches, and other organizations. When a congregation decides to make a gift of $500 or more to the Montreat Fund annually, we honor their commitment to our mission by recognizing them as a Church Patron. This special giving tier unites churches as they help to ensure that Montreat remains a place of spiritual transformation and renewal for generations to come… READ THE FULL ARTICLE NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS Plan a Trip to the Glen Rock Inn Set back from the road, shaded by mountain laurel and quieted by the nearby creek, Glen Rock Inn is perfect for medium to large groups. Accomodations include both single and double-occupancy rooms with connecting bathrooms, air-conditioning, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Enjoy gathering on the porch or in one of several communal spaces indoors. Learn more. Gather ‘Round the Campfire If you would like to have a campfire as part of your event, firepits may be pre-arranged for your group based on availability and local weather conditions. Setup includes a bundle of wood, firestarter, and matches, but guests are responsible for starting their own fire. Make sure to bring your own picnic blankets or camp chairs as table and chair setup is not included. Retreat Planning Tip! Start registration for your event early and close it at least 30 days prior to your arrival to ensure you have enough space for all who wish to attend. The sooner you contact us about adjustments, the more likely we are to have additional rooms available or, if it turns out you need fewer rooms than you originally anticipated, then this timeframe allows us to adjust your room numbers before your contractual deadlines.
