World Evangelical Alliance - A Reflection on Motherhood Around the World

Dear Friend, Grace and peace to you, While Mother’s Day is celebrated at different times around the world, we would like to take the opportunity to honour mothers this weekend since it’s a day that is most recognized. Scripture tells us: “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” (Psalm 127:3) Through the voices of women across our global fellowship, we are invited into a deeper understanding of what this truly means. In a recent reflection, Dr. Peirong Lin explores how motherhood cannot be reduced to function or expectation, but instead reveals something profound about love itself — a love that is embodied, sacrificial, and rooted in relationship.
