World Evangelical Alliance - We Hope You Had a Blessed Christmas

We hope you had a good Christmas and wish you a happy New Year.

As we come to the close of another year, we are reminded that Christmas arrives not only with celebration but with a message of profound hope. In a world that often feels fragile—marked by fear, conflict, and crisis—this season calls us back to the unshakable promise of Emmanuel: God with us.

Every week, we witness communities broken by disaster, families displaced by conflict, and nations struggling under the weight of uncertainty. Perhaps this past year has held moments of heaviness for you as well.

And yet, Christmas tells a different story.

It proclaims a hope that does not fade, a light that no darkness can overcome—and a calling for each of us to bring that hope into the world.

For more than 175 years, the World Evangelical Alliance has united believers across nations to respond to crises, strengthen the Church where it suffers, and share the life-changing message of Jesus. Through grassroots networks in 161 countries, your generosity helps bring tangible care and the good news of Christ to those who need it most.

This year, your support is making a global difference:

  • Philippines: Providing emergency shelter, food, medical care, and trauma support following Typhoon Odette (Rai).

  • Jamaica: Equipping churches to respond to hurricanes and severe storms while uplifting families, youth, and vulnerable communities.

  • Sri Lanka: Sustaining long-term recovery efforts for communities affected by ongoing natural disasters.

Every gift you give strengthens local churches—the people who know their communities best—to respond with compassion, courage, and the hope of Christ.

As we reflect on God’s faithfulness during this Christmas season and look ahead to the New Year, we are reminded of the mission Jesus declared at the beginning of His ministry:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind. To set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Luke 4:18-19

This remains our calling today.

Together—with faith, generosity, and a shared commitment to the global Body of Christ—we continue this mission in a world longing for hope.

As we step into the New Year, we invite you to partner with us once again to strengthen churches, respond to crises, and share the gospel in some of the most vulnerable places on earth.

Give Hope. Give Strength. Give the Gospel.

Your generosity is changing lives—now and for eternity.

With gratitude,
