Dear AME Church Family,

We are excited to announce the launching of “The Gift of Black Theological Education and Black Church Collaborative”. We are encouraging you to join us as we present the first of a series of modules for 2021 that address critical issues in the Black community. Dr. Eddie S. Glaude will lead the first presentation, “Awakening the Church: A Call to Respond to Systemic Racism”, with Dr. Michael Joseph Brown, President of Payne Theological Seminary, serving as host facilitator.

The event is Tuesday, January 21st at 7 PM ET/6 PM CT/4PM PT. Please download and share the attached announcement.

The Collaborative’s two-year-long initiative is relevant to intersect and “realign Black Theological Schools and the Black Church” to have a meaningful impact in our lives as well as our communities.  The modules are open to laity and clergy and we encourage you to participate so that you can enrich your own personal walk of faith and ministry. It is the intention of the Collaborative to inform a new generation of leaders engaged in building new pathways forward.

Click here to register for the Webinar. When you register, please identify AME Church and your Episcopal District as your organizational affiliation.

President Michael Brown, Ph.D.
Payne Theological Seminary President
