RNS Morning Report - Hispanic Pentecostals urge immigration protections; the Jewish law woven into your clothes

As Salvadoran TPS deadline nears, Hispanic Pentecostal leaders urge immigration protections   With the deadline for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for roughly 170,000 Salvadoran immigrants set to expire on Wednesday, Hispanic Pentecostal bishops and denominational leaders representing more than 21,000 congregations across the U.S. and Latin America took their concerns directly to Washington. Their mission – extend protections for immigrants who have built lives, families and communities in the U.S.   The meeting on Tuesday (Sept. 8) was organized by the Confraternity of Pentecostal Entities of the Americas (CEPA), a new group launched in January that unites several Pentecostal denominations.
